This book kept me glued to my seat and I can't wait to read the next one! It provides a background story for Kylie and Rylan. The academy isn't introduced until late in the book but it's one of all adult ages, a college, not teenagers for a change. I love this idea.
Angel shifters is a new idea to me, one that has me rather intrigued. The relationship between Kylie and Rylan is juicy and steamy and clearly there is a very deep connection.
Kylie's grandfather has dementia, which is sad. I'm hoping she gets good quality time with him when he's coherent. He was the alpha of the wolf pack. Now it's Rylan's dad Ray. Speaking of, Ray is forcing Kylie to leave if she can't shift. At 34 years old, this should've happened long ago. What is blocking her? Or who?
